In 1987 the band (then just Speidel, Goodrich and Lille) made what thankfully turned out to be a short-lived
decision to break up and pursue careers in the real world. They went
out in style, with a three-plus hour outdoor concert in the U.Va.
Amphitheater. It was an event not to be missed, and we didn't miss
one minute of it. We got there early, got a seat in front, and ultimately
got some medium-quality photos. Clockwise above are SGL tuning up,
