When Julie's step-father was preparing to get re-married in Lynchburg, VA in 1990,
we were asked who we'd like to entertain at the reception. Kind of
a dumb question... It turned out that the bride-to-be had a connection
at the Virginia Episcopal School -- Tom Goodrich's employer at the time --
and so we got our wish. Unfortunately, the reception was occuring at
the same time that my Pittsburgh Pirates were clinching the NL East
title on TV in the bar, so I was a little torn about where to
hang out. This picture suggests which location won out.
