On the day of the U.Va. graduation ceremony on The Lawn in 1988
(when Kevin was receiving his M.S.), I was out looking for
a commemorative cup when I ran across Michael Goggin taking
pictures of landmark U.Va. buildings. He told me he'd been
in Charlottesville for many years and had never taken the
opportunity to photograph these buildings that he passed
every day. He kindly obliged my request for a photo to
remember the big graduation day. I also took one using his
camera!
